Students at EMS are competing in the Broome-Tioga BOCES Kids CAN Build competition! They completed their lighthouse made of canned goods, with all the food to be donated to CHOW after the competition is done. Kids CAN Build is a competition that combines architecture and raising awareness of food insecurity. These kids are doing an amazing job with both! #BPatriotProud

🔬 | Congratulations to BHS junior Colin McGovern and freshmanr Samantha Francilus who competed in the Southern Tier Science Scholastic Fair on Saturday. Samantha won a Silver medal for her project “How do the COVID-19 and Influenza (1918-1919) Pandemics in Binghamton Compare to Each Other?” and Colin won a Gold medal for his project: Educational Intervention’s Impact on Handwashing Efficacy”. Colin also took home the SUNY Broome Community College Summer College Scholarship and the Lockheed Martin STEM Keep Up the Good Work Award. #BPatriotProud

🧪| Students from East Middle Leadership Academy participated in the SUNY Broome Community College Science Fair over the weekend. Zakira Beckett and Flora Davis took home a silver medal, Angel Banchs and Gaia Osborne won a bronze medal & Lockheed Martin’s “Keep Up the Good Work” Award, & Sky Rivera won a bronze medal and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo’s Innovation Award! 🏀 | The NCAA basketball tournaments haven't started yet, but March Madness is already underway at Binghamton High School! PE students during class on Monday and Tuesday competed in free throw, three-point shot, and half-court shot competitions (they also got treated to a popcorn machine in the gym too!).
