🎉 | After 23 years with the Binghamton City School District, Peter Stewart is retiring! Mr. Stewart started off as a teacher in the District and ends his career after nearly 20 years as principal at Horace Mann. Mr. Stewart says the highlight of his career has been putting relationships first and providing a loving and nurturing environment where students feel safe and know they matter. He adds that he feel privileged to have worked with so many amazing teachers. And we all know he'll be spending PLENTY of time in his retirement cheering on his beloved New York Yankees! 🎊 | Today we're celebrating Patti Fiato who is retiring from 33 years of teaching at Calvin Coolidge! Mrs. Fiato spent her entire teaching career in the same building she attended when she was a BCSD elementary student! She says she'll miss all the connections and relationships made with students, families, coworkers and community members. Mrs. Fiato plans to spend more time with her family (including daughter Julia who she got to teach with at Coolidge!), traveling, & volunteering. Congratulations, Patti! #BPatriotProud
