Nov. Board Meeting & Feasibility Study Discussion

Our November regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held at 7 p.m. on Tues. Nov. 15, 2022, in the Community Room on the third floor at the district office, located at 164 Hawley St. As was done during the October meeting, the district will be live streaming the meeting via the district’s YouTube Channel.

During our October Board of Education meeting, board members collectively reviewed the feedback received at our recent community forums along with listening to members of our school community who shared other thoughts and perspectives with the board. The board has additionally received letters of support and advocacy for several of the options the board is considering. Thank you to everyone who participated in these meetings or reached out to the board sharing your insight. Your feedback is valued and will be carefully considered. 

At the Nov. 15 meeting, the board will begin discussion, and work toward consensus on a plan for our facilities and what action will need to be taken to ensure that our elementary school buildings are best serving our students and the community. While a decision on that plan may be reached in November, there will be a need for continued communications and engagement with the community and families directly impacted by any decision. Your assistance and collaboration will help determine the best ways of implementing change.
