We’re so excited to see everyone back in school when all of our students begin on Thursday, September 10.
Below are a few reminders and important information so that your family is ready for the upcoming school year.
Get to School On-Time and Prepared
Our school days begin at 7:50 a.m. for Elementary students, 8:25 a.m. for Middle School students, and 8 a.m. for High School students. On Wednesdays at Binghamton High School, the school day begins at 9 a.m., but students at BHS are welcome to arrive at 8:00 a.m.
To ensure your child is ready for the start of school, make sure they get at least eight hours of sleep each night and adjust their sleep schedule so they can wake up with enough time to get ready for school.
Please encourage your child to read regularly and to spend time in activities that do not involve screen time to ensure they can start the year strong.
Stay Connected
The district calendar will be sent out to families in the coming days and is currently available digitally on our website’s Quick Links page. There you can also find district messages, community alerts, and other helpful information.
Please remember to register for our Parent Portal and SchoolTool, both of which you can find on our website here.
Keep up with the district leading up to and throughout the school year by downloading the Binghamton City School District app on iPhone and Android.
Students receive essential supplies from the school district, such as #2 pencils, pencil erasers, crayons, colored pencils, dry-erase markers, glue sticks, and Kleenex tissues.
