The Binghamton Patriots boys soccer team is Section IV Class AA champions for the first time in program history. Binghamton topped Vestal, 1-0, in the title game on Thursday night on neutral turf at Union-Endicott's Ty Cobb Stadium. The game was also the Patriots' first appearance in a Section IV final.

The game's lone goal came with 13 minutes left in the first half. Alexis Lara Salinas scored off an assist from Shaquaine Wright. Keeper Armani Torres manned the net for the duration of the game and posted the shutout for the Patriots .

Binghamton will now face the Section IX runner-up in the state quarter finals on November 8th at 1:30 p.m. at Waverly's Memorial Stadium.
