The state championship-winning Binghamton varsity boys basketball team is taking center stage once again, this time to be honored by lawmakers in Albany.
The team on Thursday were a special guest of NYS Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and NYS Senator Lea Webb to be honored for their thrilling double overtime victory over Niskayuna back in March to clinch the NYSPHSAA Class AA title.
During session, the team's name and story o success was etched into record through a special resolution recognizing their victory, and Sen. Webb describing hard-fought victory in detail as the team looked on from the gallery.
