Mission, Vision, Values, and Commitments

Mission

Our mission is to provide a supportive, safe and engaging school environment that embraces each and everyone to believe in themselves, to belong, and to become successful.

Vision

Our vision is to be the district of choice for children and families seeking an equitable educational experience where students are the focus, individual needs are supported, and a wide variety of opportunities are provided by an engaged and passionate school community committed to the success of each child.

Values

We believe that we can achieve our vision and accomplish our mission if, in all our work, we focus on clearly defined and consistently demonstrated core values. To that end, in all our actions and interactions, we will:

  • Focus on students in every decision we make.

  • Ensure that all children and families are included and engaged.

  • Act with integrity and work collaboratively with all members of the school community.

  • Commit to providing multiple pathways to success.

  • See in children what they have yet to see in themselves.

  • Provide students with opportunities for their voices to be heard.

  • Take collective responsibility for the success of each child.

Commitments

Academic and Instructional Excellence - We will provide a continuum of academic pathways that meet students where they are and support their diverse interests and needs in order to meet or exceed
grade-level expectations.

Supportive Environment - We will create a learning and working environment where each and every one feel valued and can accomplish their best work.

The Student Experience - We will provide each and every student with opportunities to engage in a wide variety of school experiences including academic, co-curricular, and community-based activities.

Safety - We will create an environment where students, staff, and families feel physically and emotionally safe.

When a child has adults in their corner who believe in them, that’s when they begin to believe in themselves. Once they believe in themselves, and are part of a community where they feel they belong, they can become anything they wish to be.
