BCMEA Festival 2026

The Binghamton City School District's music program was well represented last weekend as the Broome County Music Educators Association's (BCMEA) annual festival kicked-off. Twenty-nine students from Binghamton were chosen to perform as top student-musicians in the County during the festival's opening weekend. Additionally, MacArthur & West Middle Orchestra teacher Laura Hine served as conductor for the BCMEA 5th & 6th Grade orchestra.

Students performed at the Binghamton University Anderson Center with peers from across Broome County. To earn a selection to the BCMEA festival, student-musicians had to audition on various music scales and excerpts.
