Students from the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School volunteered their time for the church's ongoing pierogi fundraiser.The school says it's a way to show their appreciation for all that Saint Michael's does for them. Attention Binghamton City School District community, due to the inclement weather there are several necessary changes to the school calendar. To ensure a full 180 days of instruction is provided there will now be a full day of instruction on Friday, April 21 and Friday, May 26. The search for a new superintendent of schools for the Binghamton City School District entered its final phase on March 8, when the board of education selected three finalists from an initial pool of 15 applicants. At the outset of the search process, consultant Allen D. Buyck, District Superintendent of Broome-Tioga BOCES, worked with board members and representatives from six stakeholder groups to create a profile of skills, knowledge and personal characteristics that were used to identify five first-round candidates.

Professionals met with students at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Binghamton on Friday. They explained their jobs and how they make a living. Scott Sasina of 12 News This Morning had the chance to talk to some students about what he does as a news anchor and teach them about the television industry. The goal of the career fair was to expose students to a variety of future employment opportunities. Watch the story on WBNG and on YouTube.
