In the news graphic BCSD Awarded $2.9 Million Grant for Afterschool Programs
A nearly $3 million grant will help give more than 400 Binghamton City School District students access to new after-school programming. Binghamton schools received a $2.9 million grant from the New York State Office of Child and Family Services through the Empire State Afterschool Program, the district announced Thursday.The program is funded statewide by a $35 million appropriation in the state budget that allows high-need districts to partner with non-profit agencies to provide after-school programs. In the news graphic 25th Annual Distinguished Graduates Dinner Honors Seven Alumni
Binghamton High School held its 25th alumni dinner on Thursday night.Various alumni filled the art gallery outside of the Helen Foley Theatre to reunite as current students hosted the event. There was a spread of appetizers and punch with music put on by students. Alumni were able to chat and catch up with each other.Each year the school honors several alumni that have reached a national recognition in their field. View the story on WBNG and WICZ 
little boy with his family WMS Club Holds Socktober Sock Sale to Help 3 Year Old Cooper Busch
The Binghamton West Middle Weather/Caring for Community Club is raising money for 3 yr. old Cooper Busch. His mother Tara Busch is a teacher in our District. Cooper's Leukemia has returned. Due to this relapse and the consequences associated with the possible failure of the upcoming treatments, they as a family have decided that they must spend as much time together over the next few months.  
B BCSD Wins Two Awards from NY School Public Relations Association
The Binghamton City School District won two awards from the New York School Public Relations Association. The district newsletter ‘BToday’ won an Award of Merit and the video ‘One Teacher’s Story’ won an Award of Excellence. The video can be viewed on the district’s YouTube channel. Both items were created by the BCSD Public Relations Department through Broome-Tioga BOCES. Congratulations to Doug Titus, Christina Kunzman, Clare Stenta and Jimmie Buyck.  
B logo BCSD Announces the 25th Annual Distinguished Graduates for 2017
The students of Binghamton High School will host the Binghamton City School District’s 25th Annual Distinguished Graduates Dinner at Binghamton High School on Thursday, Oct. 5. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.. Tickets for this benefit dinner are $40.00. Call 607-762-8202 to request a dinner menu and reservation form.
