Three New Administrators Approved at BOE Meeting
At last night's board of education meeting three new administrators were added to the district. Velvet Tanner was named the new director of special services. Tanner has served in the district in various capacities over the past 15 years. She has been a special educator and most recently served as the collaborative coach for Thomas Jefferson. She will begin her new role on Oct. 26.
Shelly Richards was named the new assistant principal at MacArthur and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. Richards is returning to the district after spending the last three years as a principal at Greene. She will be starting her new position on Nov. 1.
Michelle Raleigh was named the new assistant principal at East Middle School. Raleigh will be transitioning from her current role as a collaborative coach to her new administrative role on Oct. 26.
