The annual New York State Championship Cross-Country Meet was held in Wayne NY this past Saturday.  Conditions were treacherous; high winds, freezing temperatures, snow, thick mud and ice added to an all ready demanding sport and premier meet.  Binghamton City School District runners Noah Farrelly and Emily Pogson were among the top runners that represented Section 4. The competition was among the fastest ranked girls and boys in the country. Farrelly ran a time of 18 minutes. Pogson was among the top section 4 girls, finishing in 21:25, which qualifies her for the Federation meet which will be held in Bowdin Park in Wappingers Falls next Saturday.  Good luck to Emily and congratulations to all of the runners on another season of cross country running.          [...click for more]
