Horace Mann Students Learn About Recycling from Artist
Students at Horace Mann learned about the importance of recycling today when guest artist Lydia Adams Davis came to perform. Davis has been delighting audiences for 20 years and performs environmentally themed programs about recycling and preservation. See photo gallery and watch the story on WBNG 
'Repack the Backpack' Provides Food for Students Over Holiday Break
Over the holiday break many Binghamton City School District students who depend on their schools to provide breakfast and lunch may go hungry. However, thanks to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and the Broome County Child Hunger Task Force these students will get a backpack filled with food for over the holiday break.   
Horace Mann Students March in Annual Halloween Parade

Students at Horace Mann Elementary in Binghamton got to exercise their costumes Monday with the school's annual Halloween parade around the block. As always, princesses, fairies and super heroes are popular. More current costumes include Minecraft and emojis. Many of the teachers wore jerseys of their favorite football players. 21st Annual BHS Thanksgiving Community Dinner Announced
Organizers of the Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner at Binghamton High School are making preparations for this year’s annual event, now in its 21st consecutive year. With the expansion of the dining room and continuation of a shuttle bus service (courtesy of First Student), we can accommodate more guests and assist those with transportation concerns. Home delivery and “take home” meals will not be available. 
Come out for Family Fun at Fall Festival at Walnut Street Park
Enjoy a Fall Festival at Walnut Street Park on Oct. 26 from 4 - 6:30 p.m. There will be music, dancing, pumpkins, treats and crafts. The event is free on open to the community.  Catering will be provided by Muffers.  For more information on the Fall Festival contact FallFestWalnut@gmail.com
