Author Gives 500 Books to BCSD Third Graders
Nila J. Webster, a well know author of children’s books, wants to ensure that every third grade student in Binghamton will have a chance to hear a magical message of anti-bullying through her book, “The Gift of You/The Gift of Me”. This special gift was made in honor of her mom, Jani Johe Webster, who grew up in Binghamton. Webster's grandmother was also a Binghamton resident for over 70 years. Ms. Webster has been a very active philanthropist and school supporter over the years, having donated thousands of copies of her books to schools all over New York and New England.

Booster Club

A Word from our President - September 2015
Meetings are the first Monday of every month at 3pm in the library

Horace Mann Booster Club

We are blessed at Horace Mann to have a dedicated and caring group of teachers, support staff and principal and we can make the environment even stronger for the kids by getting involved ourselves.

Last year the Booster Club provided money for field trips to Animal Adventure, Museum of Science & Technology in Syracuse, Oakwood Manor for horseback riding and end-of-year trips to Greenwood Park and Otseningo Park. We also fund Bookie Wookie, butterflies in the kindergartens, Movie Night, performances in the school (like Jared Campbell, Binghamton University Drums, the Binghamton Philharmonic & puppet shows), supplies for the classrooms, a new computer, a baby kangaroo visit to the kindergartens, and the list continues.

These are great ways to enhance our children’s lives and offer opportunities for fun, creativity and learning. We couldn’t do it without your support. Thanks for getting involved!

We meet every first Monday of the month at 2:45 in the school library.
