My name is Mr. Napierala and I am very excited to by your child's teacher. Third grade will be a fun, but challenging school year. This year will include your child's first experience with state testing, a curriculum that will be more rigorous with the implementation of the Common Core Learning Standards, and a schedule change from a five day cycle to a six day cycle.
The change to a six day cycle will effect your child immediately. This change will mean that your child will not have P.E., Art, or Music on the same day. it will be very important to keep track the schedule so your child is prepared with sneakers, art clothes, or his/her music instrument.
