A group of fifth-graders stopped in to visit the kindergarteners today (Dec. 19) to enjoy the season by working together to create personalized gifts for family members. It was a great opportunity for the two grade levels to interact, learn from one another, and share some holiday joy.

Dirtmeister wows the crowd! 
On October 2, scientist and author, Steve Tomecek, aka, "The Dirtmeister," visited Thomas Jefferson and inspired children to "DO try these experiments at home!" Both staff and students enjoyed the science-based assemblies, sponsored by our generous PTA. Thanks to them, Tomecek's books are also now in our school library, with even more fun experiments to explore!
