The Binghamton City Schools Foundation was established to enhance the educational experience of students in the Binghamton City Schools by providing additional resources to support the curriculum.  The Foundation awards grants to school district staff members who submit proposals for special projects or activities that fall beyond the scope of the district's operating budget.

Since 2007, the Foundation has awarded over $10,000 to fund twelve unique and innovative projects that impacted over 2,000 students. A much-needed clothing bank at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, a highly successful staff-student mentoring program at West Middle School and the creation of two school/community gardens are just some of the exciting and rewarding projects that have been funded by the Foundation.

One hundred percent of our funding comes from donations.  Through the continued generosity of private individuals, corporations and public/private foundations, the Binghamton City Schools Foundation can help to make a lasting impact on the educational experience of our students for generations to come.

Take Your Seat. Leave Your Legacy.

Sponsor a seat in the newly-renovated Helen Foley Theatre at Binghamton High School. Your participation will help support the Binghamton City Schools Foundation's teacher grant program.  Your name or your company name will be inscribed on a custom nameplate mounted to a seat armrest in the theatre.
