At the Bainbridge-Guilford Afton Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, sophomore pole vaulter Alexis Bartholomew picked up where she left off at the conclusion of the 2009 season, breaking the school record she set in last year's Section Four championships. Alexis's 10 foot clearance was also a meet record. Also opening the 2010 season in impressive fashion was junior Kiki Jones, with third place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. On the boys' side, junior Adrian Jackson was fifth in the 100 meters, and sophomores Ian Tolan and Graeme Gowland took fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 1600 meters. |
