Have you ever wondered what the "Boxtop$ for Education" symbol was on the top of Cheerios boxes? General Mills pays schools 10 cents for each boxtop collected. That's FREE money to help our MacArthur students!
MacArthur students collect boxtops in their classrooms all year long, from September to June. The students ask their parents, guardians, grandparents, relatives, neighbors, and parents' coworkers, to save their boxtops for them. By the end of November, the class who has collected the most boxtops wins an opportunity to "whip cream pie" Mrs. McIver, the principal. The kids love this and its fun for everyone! A special thank you to Mrs. McIver for being a good sport.
Last year the MacArthur community collected over 17,000 boxtops = $1,700. That'sFREE money! In the past two years, over $3,000 has been raised to buy special school items that benefit all the MacArthur students.
