100 Book Challenge in 1st Grade 

We log in for every 15 minutes read, not for every book. Your child should be able to read for 15 minutes at the beginning of the year and move to 30 minutes of reading by the end of the school year. 

100 Book Challenge reading time should be fun, fast and easy. The next level will be achieved when your child has mastered the skills card for that level.

100 Book Challenge time should be about fluent reading, not decoding. It is also about understanding what we just read. Does it make sense? If not, go back and re-read it.
