The "sisters" take a trip every year which includes some educational facets, as well as some fun times. In 2009, the ladies went to New York City to enjoy a day around town. We started at the South Street Seaport, taking the water taxi around the area. Tour guides gave the girls an informative look at the points of interest. One of the favorites was an up close look at the Statue of Liberty. After our tour, we took the bus to Manhattan to attend the play, Mama Mia. Everyone was on their feet dancing and singing to the
music. In 2010, the ladies went on an overnight trip to Washington, DC. Our first stop was Arlington National Cemetary where we saw the emotional Changing of the Guard. We then went on a walking tour of the monuments (Washington, Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam) as well as stopping to check out the White House.
Our days are full... but fun!
