In the past, Binghamton High School's "sister-to-sister" organization hosted a walk beginning and ending at BHS -"Judy's Walk."  This community awareness and fund-raising event is in honor of Judy Talbot, beloved wife, friend and Binghamton High School teacher who died of lung cancer in November 2005. All proceeds from Judy's Walk went to the Michael E. Connolly Endowment for Lung Cancer Research. Michael Connolly, a former student of Judy's, died of lung cancer in 2002 at the age of 39.

Now, every Friday during the month of November, to coincide with Lung Cancer Awareness Month, the "sisters" hand out awareness information and collect donations for the Michael E. Connolly Endowment for Lung Cancer Research.
