At BCSD, we strongly believe that learning is an ongoing process for our teachers as well as our students.  That's why we've made a strong commitment to providing our teachers with extensive opportunities for professional growth.

For the new teacher, the BCSD Mentor-Teacher Internship Program pairs experienced teachers with new ones, giving them the opportunity to learn from each other as they share their experiences, strategies and concerns.

Staff Development Programs
Whether it's to share new teaching approaches or to update our staff on using the latest technology in the classroom, our staff development programs run the gamut of topics, all geared towards helping students succeed.

Extensive paid workshop opportunities, paid summer orientation for new teachers, and specialized curriculum directors for English Language Arts, Math, Science and Technology are among the many ways we provide professional support to our instructional staff.
