Pre-Kindergarten Webpage


The Binghamton City School District Pre-Kindergarten program is FREE and open to all children who are 4 by December 1st (or 3 years old for some locations) and live in the City of Binghamton. Classes are held Monday through Friday, September through June, following the school district calendar. The district does not provide transportation.

Openings Available for Transitional Kindergarten

There are some openings available for Transitional Kindergarten. Children must be five years old by Dec. 1. For information please contact Brenda Lidestri at 762-8100 ext. 308.

Area Pre-K Teachers Participate in Professional Development

Pre-K teachers from around the region participated in a day of professional development at BOCES. Paul Volkert offered a math workshop in the morning and Anne Marie DePalmo and Mary Ellen Lollie presented about the connections between Conscious Discipline and Responsive Classroom in the afternoon.
